Marks & Spencer continues its expansion
in Central Europe and Baltics
It opens five new shops in CR, SR, Poland and Estonia
(Prague, 2 February, 2009) British retailer chain Marks & Spencer continues its expansion through Marks
and Spencer Czech Republic a.s. and its subsidiaries. By April 2009, there will be new Marks & Spencer shops opened in Brno, Trencin, Kosice and in Polish town of Poznan. For the first time Marks & Spencer will open in Tallinn, the capital of Estonia. The expansion will increase the company´s retail space in the region of 7 409 m2. It follows the autumn first wave of Marks & Spencer network extension of seven new shops - namely in Jihlava, Ústí nad Labem, Liberec, Ostrava in the Czech Republic, Bánská Bystrica and Košice in Slovakia and Koszalin in Poland. The total number of Marks & Spencer shops, including the new ones, will reach fifteen in the Czech Republic, four in Slovakia and six in Poland.

They are equipped with energy saving lights as well as environment friendly air-conditioning. The company also committed itself to reduce production of waste material. In this way Marks & Spencer would like to contribute to elimination of carbon production.
